Filtering Options
SurfProtect™, like most other filtering solutions, categorises sites in order to determine whether they should be blocked. Where it separates itself quite decisively from the pack is in the use of a range of filters to sort any site into an extensible set of predefined categories: a strip poker site would be listed under both the 'gambling' and 'sexually explicit' categories, with your personally defined rule-sets using this information to allow or block access to it.
With over 100 different categories to choose from, you can decide precisely what should be blocked or allowed.
We recognise that you may disagree from time to time with our classifications and that even the choice our range of categories gives may not be enough. If you need to more finely control your access policies, SurfProtect™ lets you create your own white and black lists of sites, giving you complete control over the content your users are allowed to view, all in real time.
